Promenade Semi Circle Shawl Free Crochet Pattern

Creating the Promenade Semi Circle Shawl Free Crochet Pattern was one of those magical moments when an idea and the finished piece were perfectly aligned. Creating the Promenade Semi Circle Shawl Free Crochet Pattern was my first time working with We Crochet Aloft Mohair and of course it is as divine as I had hoped it would be. I married it with my favorite weight of all, DK and got the perfect balance.

The Promenade Semi Circle Shawl Free Crochet Pattern gives you a true semi- circle shawl with a contrast in both color and weights of yarn.

What makes the Promenade Shawl Free Crochet Pattern special is that it’s a beginner friendly semi-circle shawl that mixes the fine delicateness of mohair in with the beauty and contrast of dk weight yarn to create a beautiful flowy shawl.

By mixing two varied weights of yarn, the Promenade Semi Circle Shawl Free Crochet Pattern is a perfect year round shawl but especially ideal for Spring and Summer when you want an added layer but not the bulk of a cozy wrap.

By not changing hook sizes when working with the Aloft Mohair, the pattern creates an airy open flow to the stitches and finished shawl. The Aloft Mohair really blooms when it blocks out and only adds to this effect.

It is instantly a fave and I know I will be wearing mine all summer long. I am sure you will too.

You may see significant change in finished measurements after blocking.
Please see video on Stitch & Hustle to learn the fhdc if you do not know it. There will be a significant change to the shape of your shawl if you use a chain to start instead of the fhdc.
If you notice your fabric begin to “curl” up and round then you are likely doing your beginning ch 2 of each row to tightly In this case do a ch 3 instead to start each row.
