Gauge: 4 inch sq = 22 stitches x 38 rows in garter stitch in DK
Gauge is not extremely important for this pattern. The most important thing is to have a knitted fabric that you like.
Lace Stitch: s1, k2tog, psso: slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit two stitches together, pass the slipped stitch over –this creates a double decrease
Your shawl will grow considerably with wet blocking.
