If you type "Summer Table Settings" into pinterest you will get an onslaught of near perfect setting of pastels and pretty. I always wanted to be "that girl" ... but I am not. So I decided to come up with my own DIY Summer Table Setting and of course, that means it is crochet. And the star of the table is this Summer Pocket Placemat.

I had this incredibly soft cotton yarn called Scrubby Smoothie that a friend gifted me staring at me in the studio for the last 2 weeks. Originally I was going to make myself a bright sunny beach cover up (can I ever have enough of those?) or a beach bag. But then when I decided to make the table setting - well, I knew it was meant to create my summer table placemats.

And it is kind of perfect since last year I showed you how to make a fun summer setting using Big Stitch Merino, this year let's do a light fun cotton summer table!

If you want to get a printable pdf version of the pattern with the charts, it is here in my Etsy shop for $2

So let's do it.
