ROW 1: fhdc x 70
(this is your width –should be approx. 45” across–be sure to measure to check your gauge and adjust as needed in multiples of TWO)

Alternatively if you do not know fhdc:
-ch 70, then turn
-ch 2, 69x hdc all the way across / Total for row is 70hdc (incl. ch 2)

ROW2: ch 1 and turn, dc in last st of previous row then *skip one st and [1sc, 1 dc]in next st *; repeat * to * all the way across to end then only 1 sc into last st

ROW3: ch 1 and turn, then dc in last st of previous row, *skip next dc, [1sc, 1 dc] in next sc*; repeat * to * all the way across ending with sc into last st

ROW 4–58: Repeat ROW 3
(or to) desired length

ROW59 (or after desired length): ch 2, 69x hdc all the way across / Total for row is 70 hdc (incl. ch 2)
