Shenanigans & Fiber Inspirations With Steven Be

Sometimes people come into our lives unexpectedly and give us so much more than we ever could have imagined. Sometimes, it is just a wee bit of magic.

I was so blessed many years ago at my second ever Fiber event and my second Stitches Midwest to happen upon a book signing of Steven & Stephen.

I mean really... dumb divine luck I tell ya.

I was new to the fiber world and had no idea what magnificent inspiration I had stumbled upon or what friendship would come of it. So much so, that I truly cherish this incredibly awkward photo of us.  It is in fact one of my all time fave pics.

Fast forward five years later and here I am with my very own fiber arts blog, a fiber arts brand and designing my own designs. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for those like Steven who took time to answer questions, inspire me to try new things, go beyond what I thought I could do and create to do what I could not even imagine.

And still, to this day, one of my favorite things is shenanigans when I get together with my fiber family. Because at the root of it all, that is just the good stuff.

And just like at that first meeting, Steven Be and I have this energetic force of fiber love when we get together. Sometimes it can be a bit much for those on the mellow bus. But we are ok with that.

So as I launch the next NEW chapter, my YouTube Chanel, I am beyond humbled that he took time out of his schedule to come chat with me.  Of course, because we just sit and chat when we get together - it is a bit less of an interview and more of two Fiber Loving Friends hanging out, chatting and telling stories.
