Universal Yarn: Oh So Gradient!

Stitch Up Chicago may have been a few weeks ago but I am still living in the inspiration and joy and memory of those magnificent fiber filled days and all the amazing humans I got to meet. When I was setting up the schedule for Stitch Up Chicago I know I wanted to kick things off with something special and was so excited to partner with Universal Yarn for the event. We all got special kits to make a variation of their STUNNING Oh So Gradient Scarf.

What I love about the Oh So Gradient Scarf, and why we picked it for the event, is that with a few strategically placed knit and purl rows, this incredibly textured “welting” pattern is created. But you don’t have to COUNT! Every level of knitter can make this and it is the perfect pattern for a sip and stitch / meet up vibe so you can stitch and be social! GENIUS!

The team at Universal Yarn worked hard to create a custom variation of this free pattern for the event so that it would be manageable for an evening knit and a smaller version to wear as we enter transitional season. Everyone got a variety of colors in Universal Deluxe Bulky Wash to work up their Oh So Gradient masterpieces. And stitches and smiles soon followed!
