WHAT ARE THE DATES OF STITCH UP BROOKLYN?
Stitch Up Brooklyn runs over two days. Friday June 7th & Saturday June 8th
WHERE DOES STITCH UP BROOKLYN HAPPEN?
Stitch Up Brooklyn takes place in Brooklyn, NY USA.
DO I HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO KNIT OR CROCHET?
NO!!! Each year I am amazed and impressed by those who have never held knitting needles or a crochet hook and join us to learn and fall in love with fiber. We have experienced teachers on hand as well as community members there to help you get started on your fiber path. Truly if you want to learn, you are welcome to join us!
IS THIS ONLY FOR KNITTERS?
NO! While much of the event features knitting, we have a full crochet workshop and skilled crochet instructors and community members all weekend.
CAN I ATTEND ALONE?
YES!!! You will instantly have friends and Stitch Up Events are created to build and foster community. Come alone or with a group and you will feel welcomed!
SHOULD I BRING MY WIP?
Sure! Why not? We provide a kit to make with ALL you need to make it at each event activity, however I never leave home without a wip or two and I know many of you don’t either! Bring it along!
ARE ALL ACTIVITIES IN ONE PLACE?
NO! The Primary event activities are on site at our event location - The Box House Hotel.
There is a field trip to The Brooklyn Bridge & Jane’s Carousel on Saturday for World Wide Knit (& Crochet) In Public Day.
The Friday Yarn Crawl is a separate ticket for 15 lucky stitchers who register early and takes place off site.
IS TRANSPORTATION TO THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE INCLUDED?
YES! If you register for the weekend All In Pass or The Saturday DAY Pass that includes a ticket to and from The Brooklyn Bridge on the NYC Ferry.
HOW WILL WE GET TO THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE?
We will depart The Box House Hotel at precisely 12:00 and walk to the Greenpoint Ferry which is 0.7 miles from the hotel at 10 India Street. We will take the 12:41 NYC Ferry from Greenpoint to DUMBO.
HOW WILL WE GET BACK TO THE HOTEL FROM THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE?
There are multiple Ferry Times from DUMBO to Greenpoint. You can stay as long as you like at the Bridge. Some will go to Bryant Park to Stitch In Public some will return to the hotel. The evening event begins at 6pm.
IS HOTEL INCLUDED?
Your registration does not include accommodations. BUT… if you are attending Stitch Up Brooklyn, you can get a room at our special discounted rate of $199 at The Box House Hotel. HOW DO I GET A TICKET?
You buy tickets and register at the main event page www.stitchupbrooklyn.com
CAN I PAY AT THE EVENT?
Unfortunately we cannot take walk-ins and you must register in advance.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND BOTH DAYS?
NO! While the All-In Weekend Package is the best value you can attend only the activities you want.
WHAT TIME IS THE EVENT?
Stitch Up Brooklyn Begins Friday at 5pm and ends Saturday at 8pm.
The Friday pre-game Yarn Crawl is a separate ticket and begins Friday at 9am.
DO I HAVE TO REGISTER & PAY TO KNIT (AND CROCHET) IN PUBLIC AT THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE?
NO! Anyone can meet up with us at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 1
But to get the materials provided and transportation with the group you need to be registered for the event.
CAN I BUY A TICKET FOR ONLY THE WORKSHOP / EVENT I WANT TO ATTEND?
Yes! Again, the Best Value will be with the All-In or the Saturday Day Pass. You can buy tickets and register only for the things you would like to attend A-La-Carte
CAN I ONLY DO THE YARN CRAWL?
No. This is a very special pre-game event for attendees only. You must buy an event ticket to be eligible for the Yarn Crawl.
IF I REGISTER FOR MULTIPLE ACTIVITIES WILL I GET MULTIPLE SWAG BAGS?
Swag Bags are given ONE per registered attendee.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND?
We love friends! But they must be registered as space is limited.
WHAT IF I I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND ALLERGIES?
We provide meals at each activity but want to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our attendees. Please contact Michele using this form and note your reservation order number and your allergies.
HOW DO I BECOME AN EVENT SPONSOR?
