dc – double crochet
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch

Row 1: fhdc x 30, Turn.

Row 2: ch 2 (acts as first dc); sc in 2nd ch of base row (and third chain loop from hook), then *skip one chain space and 1sc, 1 dc (in same chain space)*; repeat * to * all the way to end; sc in last chain space and turn

Row 2-17: ch2 (acts as first dc); dc in last sc from previous row, then*skip dc space, 1 sc & 1 dc in sc of previous row * repeat * to * to end; sc in last chain space and turn

Whip stitch sides together two thirds way only. Weave in end.
