Flower Crown Knit Pattern & Tutorial

MATERIALS :
Stunning String Studio Single Ply DK or Worsted 15 gms
5mm knitting needles
Large needle to weave ends
Headband with “trellis” style

***Yarn Note:
Stunning String Studio provided us with the materials but you can also use any yarn you have on hand with appropriate needle sizes for that yarn

Stitches Used / Abbreviations:

CO – Cast on
BO – Bind Off
K – knit
P – purl
Pm – place marker
St(s) stiotch(es)
Yo – yarn over
K2tog – Knit 2 Together
P2tog – purl 2 together
I – inside
O – outside of flower


CO 96

R 1: knit

R 2 (I): * (k2tog) 2 times, (yo, k1) 4 times, (k2tog) 2 times*  Repeat from * to * across

R 3 (O): Knit

R 4 (I): Knit

R 5: Repeat R2

R 6 (I): Purl

R 7 (O): (k1, k2tog) Repeat to end. 64 sts remain

R 8 (I): (p1, p2tog) Repeat to end, p last st. 43 sts remain.

R 9 (O): (k2tog) across;  k last st. 22 sts remain.

B.O. all stitches and cut at least a 12” tail.

 

ASSEMBLY:
Starting at the last and smallest petal made, roll up your flower keeping everything as even as possible. Make sure the base is fairly flat.

Using the remainder of the tail, secure your flower at the base by stitching through the trellis of the headband.
